KNOCK OUT
17 - 19 JULY
Step between the ropes where stories come alive through movement
Join circus and physical theatre artists Simone O'Brien and Gabrielle Griffin in a space where grit meets creativity. The boxing ring becomes more than just canvas and rope - it's where your stories of knockdowns and comebacks, of fantasy and triumph, take physical form.
Using techniques from circus and physical theatre, you'll craft performances that could only happen in this space. Learn to turn a corner post into a moment of tension, use the ropes to build suspense, and let the ring shape how your story unfolds. Bring your stories and your imagination, and we'll make them move.

river stories
COMING SOON
Dreaming on river time
River Stories is a 4-day inclusive and accessible workshop exploring the deep connection between waterways, movement, and storytelling, led by local First Nations artists Mitch King (Yaegl/Bundjalung) and Jade Dewi Tyas Tunggal (Aust/Java).
Through dance, storytelling, and cultural sharing, participants will engage with traditional River Stories in an accessible and inclusive environment. Originally guided by the wisdom of Auntie Julia Paden, this program creates a unique space where First Nations culture and the disability community come together to share, learn, and connect with Country.
Participants will engage through sensory experiences, moving their bodies in response to water and sand, while sharing in the rich stories of our waterways. The series culminates in a community gathering by the river - an open invitation for all to join in storytelling, movement, and celebration over a shared meal
